A great site to re-read...

http://www.brainsturbator.com/site/comments/10_ways_you_can_fight_fascism_around_the_world/

Important concepts from Bret Stalcup.

The Five Excellences are the general areas that I train it. These areas are:

  • 1. physical training/combat
  • 2. academics/philosophy
  • 3. seduction/s.ex
  • 4. projects
  • 5. meditation

I like having multiple areas of work, as if I get burned out in one area, I still have four others, and thus continue to make forward progress....using this method I've been able to Work for twelve years without cessation, and I am far from where I began on all levels.Though the term is taken from an old Taoist regimin and thus is structured according to their conception of the five elements, I use the western model, thus the above correspond to:1. earth2. air3. water4. fire5. spirit In my view, that is, according to the model that I have of how I want to be, proficiency in the above five areas allows one to interact well with the levels of life that i find most interesting and rewarding. As time unfolds I will start topics for each of these areas; for now, I just wanted to clarify the basic meaning of the title of my forum, to give interested parties an notion of where this will be going.

Third Wave

the first wave was/is the magic/k and myth people.

the second wave was/is the leary/hyatt/burroughs/RAW crowd, parallel to which was/is the chaos current.

the third wave is/will be the people who can kick ass and walk in ALL the worlds, from the most physical to the most abstract.

specialization = limitation, therefore specialists are limited people.

FUCK LIMITATION--DESTROY IT if you can.

Standards For Strength - Bret Stalcup

calisthenics--level one

this is the absolute bare minimum that a person needs in order to be able to function well.

  • pushups 50
  • chinups 10
  • squats 100
  • burpees (with jump) 30

calisthenics--level two

this is the minimum for being able to consider oneself conditioned, calisthenics-wise.

  • dive-bomber pushups 50
  • one-arm pushups 10
  • handstand pushups 15
  • dips 20
  • pullups (not chinups) 15
  • pistols 15-20
  • burpees (with jump) 50-100

SAK ROUND ONE

  • squats, 20 reps with 225 lbs
  • dive bombers, 20 reps
  • chinups 20 reps

ROUND TWO

  • squats, 15 reps with 225 lbs
  • dive bombers, 15 reps
  • chinups, 15 reps

ROUND THREE

  • squats, 10 reps with 225 lbs
  • dive bombers, 10 reps
  • chinups 10 reps

The above are things I want to keep in mind for designing my individualized program. Other programs that will play a role are Warrior Wellness, Flow Fit 1 (Flow Fit 2 later), and Capoeira. I will also be incorporating sledgehammer work in order to train myself to create a video.

With Will Gant on Happiness Pie today compared Kundalini to PTSD treatment. PTSD creates all kinds of physical, mental, and emotional problems. Wholistic therapy creates a reduction in symptomology and produces a "normal" person. Normal people are full of neuroses, physical restrictions, and emotional baggage. Wholistic treatment through Radical Undoing, Yoga, etc...reduces stress and produces a "tatsujin" or radically free, self-actualized human being.

It Begins

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become. Buddha

This blog will be a repository for statements of intent, a listing of trials and a record of success.
